JetBlue's Flight Statistics Have Officially Recovered From The COVID-19 Pandemic

The Image Above: JetBlue's flight statistics as seen on RadarBox.com

JetBlue's flight statistics from last week represent a full recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and even exceed 2019 numbers as well.

The airline has been making significant efforts to achieve recovery in the last 12 months, especially as more borders continue to open up.

The carrier has been performing well in the month of April, where the latest statistics we are showcasing you come from.

The Numbers

For April 23-30, the airline recorded 1,016 flights, which is +56.31% more compared to the same period in 2021. 2021's numbers were recorded at around 650 flights.

2020 numbers are of course an anomaly, given the COVID-19 pandemic, but 2022's numbers are higher than 2019's numbers, where 986 flights were recorded in that period.

Because those figures are quite close together, this represents a positive step towards recovery from the pandemic.

April 23-30, 2022 was the period where the numbers exceeded 2019's count.

For example, for April 16-23, the airline handled 1,000 flights exactly, but 2019's numbers were still higher at 1,096 flights.

Even so, it could be suggested that at that point, recovery was more or less there.

Summer 2022

It remains clear that the numbers will continue to rise for JetBlue as the Summer 2022 season nears.

Pent-up demand is going to cause a surge in flights, which is why the airline has increased capacity specifically for this season so far.

With transatlantic flights becoming another market for the carrier to grow in, this is going to be another contribution to increased numbers of flights, especially as destinations grow.

But for now, all we can do is sit back and wait to see what happens in Summer 2022 for the carrier, and to see whether they can reap the rewards of what will be a busy period.
