Amid Tariff Tensions, Boeing Jet Returns to U.S. Instead of Delivery to China
A Boeing 737 aircraft (">Reg. N230BE) that was supposed to be delivered to a Chinese airline has unexpectedly reversed course, making headlines and raising fresh concerns over the growing strain in U.S.-China trade and aerospace relations.
Originally bound for a Chinese customer, the jet, flying under the callsign BOE376, departed from Boeing’s Zhoushan Completion and Delivery Center in eastern China. Instead of proceeding with the final delivery, however, the aircraft made a trans-Pacific journey back to the United States. The 5,000-mile flight included a stopover in Guam before landing in Seattle, Washington.
